Do you love taking photos? Maxwell Heights has a great
Photography Program that lets you turn creativity into skill.

Discover the art and technique behind powerful images. This course focuses on digital photography using Nikon DSLR cameras, and explores key concepts such as composition, lighting, photo editing, and much more. Students will learn the technical foundations of photography while developing their creative vision through hands-on projects.
The Grade 11 Digital Photography course (TGP3M1) introduces essential skills and creative approaches, while the Grade 12 course (TGJ4M1) offers the opportunity to expand your portfolio and refine your personal style.
What do students say about being in the PHOTOGRAPHY class?

"Photography class let me see the world through a different lens, literally and creatively! It’s not just about taking pictures, it’s about capturing moments and making them my own!" – Zoya S.
"Photography is a lighter class to take in grade 11, making a heavy-course packed semester feel easier. You learn a lot about cameras, lighting, and photoshop, and the best part is being able to experiment with everything you learn, whether it is individually, or together with a partner/group." – Pav E.

"We don’t just take pictures — we capture stories frozen in time." – Ani P.

"People should take this class because it is an art for that lets you explore what you think looks cool, which is good to know what you like about yourself and shows individuality." – Landon W.

"I like that it gives me the freedom to express art without having to draw or preform." – Oliver S.

"I like the creativity we can use on each assignment and being able to have the hands on experience!"
– Hailey R.
